When the sun goes off to sleep (Naomi's lullaby)

from Waiting On The Hill: An Anthology 2000-2010 by TA Walker

/

about

This was genuinely written for my then-unborn daughter in 2004 (I took a calculated gamble that it would be a girl), and occasionally sang it to her as a baby when she was having trouble getting to sleep. (I think that on the odd occasion, it actually worked... or was that me?)

The chorus melody belongs to a Korean nursery rhyme, "Soong-a-ji, soong-a-ji", a line from which sneaks into the vocoder part at the end of the song.
