Folly Hill

from Imagined Lands by TA Walker

/

about

Folly Hill stands just outside the small town of Faringdon, with the main A420 road between Swindon and Oxford skirting its base. The "folly" is a small tower, built by a slightly eccentric local landowner in the 1930s. In the winter months, a bright star-shaped light shines forth from the top, which can be seen for quite a few miles up the A420.

A friend who heard this piece, thought it sounded a bit "sinister" - especially the chord-change right at the end. This was not quite the effect I was aiming for, but people will hear what they will hear...
