Song 14 of the 50/90 Challenge, derived from the occasional songwriting games I play with my seven-year-old daughter. She is showing signs of interest in wanting to learn the ukulele, and is already becoming quite adept at improvising songs (a future FAWM-er, perhaps?), so sometimes I'll reach for the uke or guitalele and we'll make up fun songs together.

This song was adapted from one that I made up during one of these games - my daughter didn't work on this particular one, in case you were wondering why she isn't credited (!) - and if it's not entirely obvious, my tongue is somewhat in my cheek and threatening to pop out the other side...

(Techie bits: I had almost no time to do the demo for this, so I recorded the vocal and guitalele rather roughly on my wife's Yamaha Pocketrak 2G, then imported the results into my multitrack and overdubbed electric guitar and bass. Suiting the song, the demo has a bit of an old-time slow jazz number feel - perhaps I should've added a bit of "crackle" to make it sound like a 78rpm record...)

I rather like this song, and it was a bit of a wrench to leave this off "50-90-2012 Vol. 1", but I had to "drop" nine songs to leave sixteen in the album lineup, and sadly there were even stronger candidates than this one. I'm glad I found a home for it here - it's fun.
