Scrambling to make up lost ground - and hopefully cross the finish-line with the requisite ten-and-four compositions - I'm casting around for every cockamamie idea I can get my brains on...

...and one landed as I was driving through Marlborough, England this morning - the location which inspired another song from last year's FAWM, "Going To The Tearooms" (tawalker.bandcamp.com/track/g...). I've never written a formal "sequel" to a song of mine, but I fell to wondering if the narrator of "Going..." might not have made friends and influenced people with his attitude...

Recorded in one pass with guitalele accompaniment into Audioshare on my iPhone 6S (via the Sonic Port VX), and then transferred to Audacity on our Mac, where I stuffed the recording through iZotope's Vinyl AU plugin to give it that worn-out 78rpm record sound.

Remember: in true Randy Newman style, the narrator and the author should not be confused ;-)
