about

Song 31 is a little instrumental interlude I composed and recorded today for one of graphic designer/animator Dave Jeffery's vintage British TV recreations. He posts some of these on his YouTube channel (and believe me, he named the channel EXTREMELY self-effacingly ;-) ).

This piece came out of a request Dave made for a sixty-second composition for a recreation he is making of an ITV Schools programme junction from the early-1980s - specifically, to accompany the countdown clock which used to appear one minute prior to a programme's start. That explains why this piece squeaks in at just under sixty seconds in length... and if there are any die-hard aficionados of vintage British TV presentation here, you may just be able to guess the actual composition I was paying homage to here :-)

And yes, I know the flowers in the accompanying photo aren't bluebells, but I didn't have any bluebell pics of my own!
